Setelah sukses dengan program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) Ipteks bagi Kewirausahaan (IbK) tahun lalu, maka pada tahun ini diselenggarakan kembali pelatihan serupa yang diperuntukkan bagi mahasiswa dan alumni Unisba. Program ini terselenggara atas kerjasama LPPM Unisba, Direktorat Riset dan Pengabdian kepada Maysrakat Dikti, dan Studio Technopreneurship TI Unisba. Tema yang diambil adalah “Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pengelolaan Bisnis dalam rangka Menciptakan Wirausaha Mandiri”. Peserta yang ikut program ini berasal dari berbagai fakultas di Unisba. Sejumlah 20an peserta wajib mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan yang terdiri dari belajar di kelas (Perpustakaan TI / Studio Technopreneurship), kunjungan ke lapangan (industri), pembuatan proposal bisnis per kelompok dan presentasi.
Beberapa mitra dari industri (fashion, kuliner, IT) yang terlibat antara lain dari Matoa, Brodo, X-trans, dan Asep Stroberi. Kegiatan PKM IbK tahun kedua dimulai pada bulan Mei 2016 dimana dibuka langsung oleh Wakil Rektor 1 Unisba. Pelatihan dilaksanakan di akhir pekan dan dilakukan penutupan pada 22 Oktober 2016 di Garut.
Ketua tim PKM IbK yakni Dr. Nugraha, ST., MM. yang juga Dekan Fakultas Teknik Unisba menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan wirausaha sesungguhnya akan tetap berlangsung meskipun telah ditutup acaranya. Kegiatan mentoring dan evaluasi dapat terus dilaksanakan, dipandu oleh tim pelaksana PKM IbK sehingga hasilnya akan optimal dalam menciptakan beberapa wirausaha baru dari kalangan mahasiswa dan alumni.
